Breweries have always stamped their name or logo on bottles, boxes, signs, cans, trays, openers, crates and anything else that might boost brand visibility. All of these objects are considered breweriana and they’re collectible.

I was hooked in 2010 at the Vintage Paper Fair in San Francisco. I unearthed a few vintage labels in the flip stacks and I’ve been obsessively hunting down more ever since. I love the design, color and history embedded in each one. I’ve included some of my personal favorites below with a few objects. I focus is on items from my home state of Michigan and San Francisco. Just these locations will keep me busy collecting for a long time.
